By bicycle from Paris to Saint-Mandé

If you’re looking for a relaxed ride from the heart of Paris out to the leafy suburb of Saint-Mandé, this one’s for you! Starting near the famous landmarks of central Paris, you’ll wind your way about 7.6 km east—long enough to enjoy the ride, but short enough to squeeze in before breakfast.

Almost your entire route is paved (with a healthy dose of smooth asphalt), and notably, you’ll spend most of it on dedicated cycleways, so it’s beginner-friendly and stress-free. The ascent is gentle—just over 50 meters in total—enough to stretch your legs, but nothing too challenging.

You’ll leave the bustle of Paris behind and soon be cruising toward Saint-Mandé, known for its proximity to the stunning Bois de Vincennes, the city's largest public park. Grab a pastry at a local bakery when you arrive, or roll a bit farther for a lap around the park!
