Cycling day trip from Dijon to Beaune

Get ready for a scenic spin through the heart of Burgundy! This cycling route takes you from the lively city of Dijon, famous for its mustard, elegant architecture, and vibrant market squares, all the way to the charming town of Beaune, the wine capital of the region.

You'll cover just under 44 km, cruising mostly along quiet roads with barely a busy stretch in sight—perfect for a relaxed and safe ride. Expect gentle rolling hills, with a manageable climb of about 350 meters and slightly more descent, making it mostly smooth sailing as you pedal south.

The route meanders through picturesque vineyard landscapes and historic villages, offering plenty of opportunities for café stops and photo ops of stone cottages and sweeping vine rows. Most of the surface is paved or asphalt, ensuring an easy roll, with just a few sections where the path's nature is less clear (nothing too gnarly, though).
