By bicycle from Pezinok to Svätý Jur

This fun cycling route takes you from the charming wine town of Pezinok to the historic little hub of Svätý Jur. It’s just under 14 km, so it’s a great choice for a half-day spin. You’ll be riding mostly on paved surfaces—with smooth asphalt and even some quaint paving stones—so you won’t need a mountain bike unless you fancy one for the short bits of concrete or track.

The ride starts in Pezinok, famed for its vineyards and local wine cellars (seriously, stick around for a tasting if you can). From there, you’ll head into rolling countryside with a decent bit of climbing—about 329 meters up—but nothing too crazy. The scenery’s classic Small Carpathians: forests, vineyards, and some lovely views from the higher points.
