Get ready for a scenic cross-border ride, starting from Slovakia’s lively capital, Bratislava, and finishing in the charming Hungarian city of Győr. This route is about 85 km long and mostly flat, making it a great choice for a day trip or a leisurely bike tour.

Almost the entire ride rolls over smooth asphalt and dedicated cycleways, so you’ll pedal comfortably as you follow the course of the River Danube for much of the way. Along the route, you’ll pass through picturesque villages and might even catch sight of some Danube riverboats or herons in the wetlands.

Bratislava’s historic old town, crowned by its hilltop castle, provides a striking backdrop at the start. Once you reach Győr, you can wander its lovely baroque center and relax at one of the many coffee shops. Both cities are steeped in history, packed with architectural gems, and offer plenty to explore if you have time at either end.
