Cycling day trip from Mielno to Darłowo

This relaxed coastal cycling route takes you from Mielno, a lively seaside town famous for its sandy beaches and summer parties, all the way to historic Darłowo, known for its charming old town and the impressive Castle of the Pomeranian Dukes.

You’ll cover just over 42 km of mostly flat terrain, so it’s a great day trip for most cyclists. Nearly the entire ride is on smooth, paved surfaces—mainly asphalt—so you can roll comfortably whether you’re riding a road bike or a hybrid. About half the route follows dedicated cycle paths, letting you enjoy the salty Baltic Sea air and pine forests without worrying much about traffic.

Keep an eye out for stretches paved with stones here and there, and a tiny section around 3% where the surface isn’t paved—nothing a bit of caution can’t handle. Once you reach Darłowo, treat yourself to a wander around its quaint medieval streets and maybe a peek at the castle before heading back.
