Cycling day trip from Stilfs to Bormio

This epic cycling route takes you from the charming Alpine village of Stilfs (Stelvio), at the foot of the famous Stelvio Pass, all the way to the spa town of Bormio. Get ready for a serious adventure—nearly 79 kilometers of winding mountain roads, challenging climbs, and epic descents. You’ll climb over 4,800 meters and descend nearly 5,000, reaching eye-wateringly high elevations (over 2,600 m!) where the air gets thin and the views get unreal.

The Stelvio Pass is one of Europe's legendary climbs—watch out for its endless switchbacks and unforgettable panoramic vistas. The surface is a real mix: there’s a good amount of comfortable asphalt and paved sections, but you’ll also hit some gravel, unpaved paths, and tracks, so a solid gravel or adventure bike is a must.
