Cycling day trip from Toblach to Pieve di Cadore

This stunning cycling route starts in Toblach (Dobbiaco), a lovely village nestled in the heart of the Dolomites and known as the “Gateway to the Dolomites.” You'll wind your way south through some serious mountain scenery, climbing up to almost 2000 meters elevation. Expect a good mix of surfaces—paved and gravel—with the majority on dedicated cycleways and quiet roads, so you can really savour the ride.

Along the way, you’ll have around 1,750 meters of ascent (and just over 2,100 meters going down!), making this a trip for those who enjoy a challenge and spectacular downhill stretches. The scenery is pure Dolomites: forests, alpine meadows, dramatic peaks, and crisp air. The route finishes in Pieve di Cadore, a picturesque town famed as the birthplace of Renaissance painter Titian, and set beside the charming Lake Centro Cadore.
