Cycling day trip from Shkodër to Tirana

This ride takes you from the charming city of Shkodër, nestled on the banks of Lake Shkodër in northern Albania, all the way to the vibrant heart of Tirana. The route covers about 132 kilometers—so it’s a solid ride, best for cyclists who are up for a bit of a challenge. You’ll gradually climb a total of about 565 meters, but nothing too mountainous; max elevation is just under 113 meters.

Expect a bit of adventure: while there’s plenty of quiet road (over 60%), around half of the surfaces are undefined—so who knows, you might find yourself on rustic paths or quaint backroads.
