By bicycle from Omišalj to Njivice

Ready for a relaxed ride along Krk Island? This 10.9 km cycling route takes you from Omišalj, perched on a cliff with impressive views of the Kvarner Bay and known for its charming old town, all the way south to Njivice—a laid-back seaside village famous for its beaches and clear water.

You’ll start by weaving through the quiet streets and historic lanes of Omišalj, then head onto tranquil backroads and country tracks tucked among olive groves and pine trees. The ride features a couple of gentle climbs (with around 116 meters of ascent in total), but nothing too serious, and you’ll enjoy a net descent as you approach sea level in Njivice.

Surface-wise, expect a mix: just over half of the way is nicely paved, while the rest is mostly surfaced tracks—nothing too rough, just keep an eye out in the less maintained stretches. The best part: you’ll rarely encounter busy traffic, so you can really savor the island vibes.
