By bicycle from Lopar to Banjol

This route takes you from Lopar, a sandy beach paradise on the northern tip of Croatia’s Rab Island, all the way down to Banjol, a laid-back village famous for its waterfront promenade and views of the old town of Rab. Over roughly 18.6 km, you’ll climb and descend a good bit (around 400 meters up and down), so expect some sweet island vistas along the way!

The ride’s a mixed bag when it comes to surfaces—mostly quiet roads and some tracks, with about 40% paved sections and plenty of gravel and unpaved patches, so a gravel or mountain bike is your friend here. You’ll wind through olive groves, pass the occasional stone house, and maybe catch glimpses of the sea or rustic inland hills.

Once you reach Banjol, reward yourself with a swim or a drink at one of the seaside bars. Both Lopar and Banjol are known for their relaxed vibes, but Lopar’s all about sand and coves, while Banjol charms with those classic Adriatic sunsets. Perfect for an island-hopping adventure!
