Cycling day trip from Kranjska Gora to Zgornje Gorje

Get ready for a beautiful ride through northern Slovenia! Starting in Kranjska Gora, a charming alpine town known for its skiing, cycling trails, and as a gateway to Triglav National Park, you'll set out on a nearly 46 km route to Zgornje Gorje. The journey weaves through scenic valleys and rolling hills, with about 1,000 meters of climbing—so be prepared for some solid ascents and thrilling descents (over 1,300 meters down!).

Most of your ride is on paved and asphalt roads, and there are plenty of quiet country stretches and dedicated cycleways—ideal for soaking in those mountain views. You’ll pass lush forests, traditional Slovenian villages, and probably a few herds of sheep! Keep an eye out for the stunning Radovna Valley and maybe plan a refreshment stop near Lake Jasna or one of the small local cafés.
