Get ready for a proper Colombian adventure on two wheels! Starting from Soacha, a bustling gateway city just southwest of Bogotá, you’ll spin south towards Sibaté—famous for its cool climate and strawberry fields. The route covers a bit over 22 km, but don’t let the distance fool you. With nearly 850 meters of climbing and some chunky descents, this ride brings both a challenge and countryside charm.
You’ll mainly pedal along quiet rural roads, catching glimpses of Andean hills and passing through agricultural zones. Surfaces vary: expect a mix of unpaved stretches, gravel, and a bit of classic Andean asphalt—so wider tires are a good idea. As you crest close to 2,960 meters in elevation, the views are totally worth the effort.
Sibaté itself is a cozy small town, perfect for grabbing a snack (try a fresh arepa or guava juice!) before heading back. If you love rolling terrain, rural vibes, and a bit of a physical test, this route’s for you.
