Cycling day trip from Mississauga to Burlington

This ride takes you from bustling Mississauga, just west of Toronto, all the way to beautiful Burlington along the north shore of Lake Ontario. It’s about 46 km, mostly on smooth, paved surfaces, and the heart of the route is made up of dedicated cycleways and quiet roads—so you’ll get to relax and enjoy the scenery rather than dodge traffic!

Starting from Mississauga, known for its vibrant mix of cultures and great shopping at Square One, you’ll roll southwest, passing tree-lined neighborhoods and some green spaces. The route is mostly flat with only a couple of gentle climbs and descents—you’ll barely notice the elevation changes, so it’s friendly for most riders.

As you get closer to Burlington, the lake views open up and you’ll ride into a city famous for its lovely waterfront, the Royal Botanical Gardens, and a welcoming downtown.
