By bicycle from Victoria to Oak Bay

This is a lovely little ride from downtown Victoria to the charming seaside community of Oak Bay! You’ll start in the heart of Victoria, surrounded by its historic architecture, lively Inner Harbour, and beautiful gardens. Setting out east, you'll enjoy about 7 km of mostly quiet roads—perfect for a relaxed and scenic cycle. The route is mostly paved or asphalt, so you won’t have to worry about bumpy trails.

On the way, you’ll pass through leafy neighbourhoods and catch glimpses of the coastline. There's a gentle climb (about 47 meters overall), but nothing too strenuous, and you'll descend as you roll closer to Oak Bay.

Oak Bay itself is known for its laid-back vibe, beautiful beaches, and quaint village shops—a great spot to grab coffee or a bite to eat. If you’ve got time, be sure to check out Willows Beach or take a stroll among the heritage homes. Perfect ride for a sunny afternoon!
