Cycling day trip from Port d'Alcudia to Escorca

Set out from the vibrant beachside town of Port d'Alcudia and get ready for a ride that’s equal parts challenge and jaw-dropping scenery! This roughly 35 km route takes you from sea level up into the dramatic heart of Mallorca’s Tramuntana mountains, ending at Escorca—a tiny mountain village famous for its proximity to the beautiful Lluc Monastery.

The first stretch rolls gently out of town, but don’t be fooled: soon enough, you’ll be tackling some serious climbs, with an impressive total ascent of almost 1,500 meters. The ride is mostly on quiet, paved roads, giving you space to enjoy awe-inspiring mountain views and glimpses of turquoise Mediterranean waters below. There are some sections on tracks—just enough to keep things interesting, but it’s nearly all smooth sailing.

Be sure to pace yourself and stop for photos—especially as you get higher! The finish in Escorca feels worlds away from the bustling port, surrounded by limestone peaks and wild nature.
