By bicycle from Clerkenwell to West End of London

This ride takes you from the lively streets of Clerkenwell right into the energetic heart of London’s West End. Starting out in Clerkenwell—a historic area known for its creative scene, cool cafes, and centuries-old monastic roots—you’ll cruise mostly along smooth, paved routes. About two-thirds of your journey is on dedicated cycleways, so you can enjoy a relaxed ride, while the rest takes you down some quieter roads. There’s only a tiny stretch on busy streets and cobbles.

You’ll cover just under 10 km, passing through diverse pockets of central London: think vibrant neighborhoods, classic London architecture, and maybe a glimpse of a red double-decker or two. There are a few gentle ups and downs (nothing too challenging), and before you know it, you’ll roll into London’s West End—a hotspot for theaters, shopping, and nightlife.
