By bicycle from Bucharest to Sector 1

Here’s a great city ride that takes you from the heart of Bucharest all the way up to Sector 1, one of the greenest and most peaceful districts in the city. Starting in central București, you’ll cruise mostly on smooth asphalt and proper cycleways, which means you won’t be dodging too much traffic—perfect if you want a relaxed urban cycling experience.

The route is nice and flat, with only a gentle climb of about 28 meters in total, so it’s friendly for all levels. As you head northward, you’ll pass by a good mix of city life and leafy neighborhoods, soaking up some classic Bucharest vibes along the way. The whole trip is about 10.7 km, ideal for a slow afternoon ride or a quick commute.
