By bicycle from Poprad to Svit

This ride takes you from Poprad to Svit—a mellow 10 km spin perfect for a quick outing or as a relaxed leg-stretcher. Starting in Poprad, a gateway city to the High Tatras and well-known for its historic center and mountain views, you’ll roll mostly on smooth asphalt and dedicated cycleways (super comfy, with hardly any traffic to worry about!). The route is mostly flat, with just a gentle overall ascent under 70 meters—enough to warm up the legs, but nothing too serious.

After about an hour of easy pedaling, you’ll reach the small town of Svit, famous for its history as an industrial hub and for being one of Slovakia’s “youngest” towns, founded only in the 1930s. Both towns have plenty of cafes and bakeries for a post-ride treat. If you want to make it a loop, simply reverse and enjoy those mountain vistas from the opposite direction!
