Route template
This relaxed ride takes you from Treptow all the way to Hansaviertel, covering about 11 km mostly along smooth, paved cycle paths. Starting in Treptow—a vibrant Berlin district known for its sprawling Treptower Park and the impressive Soviet War Memorial—you'll roll through leafy neighborhoods and catch glimpses of both classic and modern Berlin.
The route is super bike-friendly, mainly using dedicated cycleways and quiet roads, so most of the time you can just enjoy the ride. There’s very little elevation—less than 30 meters of gentle ascent—so it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a chill spin rather than a workout.
As you approach Hansaviertel, look out for post-war modernist architecture: this neighborhood was practically rebuilt from scratch in the 1950s as a “showcase” for new urban planning and innovative design. The whole ride is lined with Berlin’s greenery, occasional parks, and plenty of spots to stop for a coffee. Whether you're commuting or exploring, this route is a fantastic way to see two sides of Berlin by bike.
