This cycling route takes you from the historic town of Sochaczew to the peaceful village of Teresin—perfect for a relaxed half-day ride. You’ll cover just over 20 km, meandering mostly along quiet country roads, with a handful of sections on dedicated cycleways and paths.
Sochaczew, once a royal city of the Polish Crown, sits on the Bzura River and is known for its charming market square and the narrow-gauge railway museum—worth a stop before you pedal off. The route is almost entirely flat, so you can enjoy the ride without fearing any big climbs. About a third of your journey will be on paved or asphalt surfaces, but expect a few stretches with paving stones or natural ground, adding some variety to your ride.
Upon arrival at Teresin, you’ll find a peaceful town that’s home to the famous Niepokalanów Monastery, founded by Saint Maximilian Kolbe. If you love a scenic, easy-paced pedal with glimpses of rural Mazovian life, this ride’s for you!
