Elogio della Processione del Guado nel Parco delle Lame del Sesia

The fording point is located at the Località Giare di San Nazzaro, 1.5 km from the Cavour Canal. The recommended route follows for a stretch the summit of the left bank of the Sesia, a cycle-pedestrian path within the protected area. After leaving the embankment, a ring is created between rice fields, rice-growing villages and devotional places, among which is the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Fontana in San Nazzaro Sesia, the destination of the procession. Also in San Nazzaro, the Abbey of San Nazario and Celsio is of great interest.

Another notable nature encounter is the Casalbeltrame Marsh, a residual wetland area, nature reserve.

Mixed asphalt – white road route. Light traffic, mostly limited to the area of Biandrate.

Train station: in Casaleggio, 5 km from Biandrate. The station in Vercelli is better served and, in the future, will be connected to the Cavour Canal with a cycle path along the embankment of the Sesia (15 km).
