Para bajar de Chachapoyas hay 11km de una hermosa y tranquila bajada, bien pavimentada pero con curvas bien cerradas... para ir con cuidado y disfrutando.

Luego se bordea el río Utcubamba, pero un poco solamente, porque pronto aparece el desvío para subir a luya, y se acaba la carretera.

Pero el camino está en buen estado. Después del desvío comienza la subida... intensa, empinada, con curvas, pero hermosa y muy pedaleable.
