Lipno große Runde

Very nice route. Started from GH Ufermann in Marchtrenk. You always follow the R4 signage (Traunradweg).

From Marchtrenk to Wels directly alongside the Traun River. Then country roads that sometimes lead through small woods. At Lambach, briefly along the Traun again, then a crossing. Afterwards, mostly on country roads. In Viecht, definitely take a short detour to the Traunfall - it’s worth it! On the opposite bank is the well-known Traunfall Steckerlfisch!

Sometimes I wished there was more signage.

There are a few short climbs, but they are manageable. If you ride the route in reverse (from Gmunden to Marchtrenk), it’s certainly easier, as there are only two climbs.

Some sections are on unpaved paths or lightly gravelled, so it’s not really suitable for a road bike, but definitely doable with a city bike or similar.
