About this route

The route is made more difficult by the Laminoria Tunnel having been closed. Whether it will ever open again is looking unlikely and because of this a detour has become necessary. The detour is not significant in length but involves a climb on a wide but very rough industrial track and a short stretch of public road but instead of accessing the Vía Verde Vasco-Navarro once more. The Vía Verde continues on to the outskirts of Vitoria-Gasteiz before the village of Uribarri Jauregi / Ullíbarri-Jáuregui, the route continues by road to village's old station and join the Vía Verde there. On approaching Vitoria / Gasteiz, dedicated cycle paths carry on to the centre of the city.
