Turning right leaving the Ferry Terminal exit, the route follows the Main Street along the shore of Brodick Bay before turning right once again at a road junction and following the A841 north along the island's west coast. After the village of Sannox the route steepens considerably up and over The Boguillie before descending very steeply to Loch Ranza, Lochranza Village and Lochranza Slipway.
