After leaving Gawler, the ride follows the Barossa Valley Way passing through Sandy Creek and onto Lyndoch.
The route exits Lyndoch with a left turn onto the Barossa Valley Way and heads towards Tanunda.
Just before Tanunda, a right turn onto Bethany Rd leads to Light Pass Rd where the road kicks up somewhat before flattening out near the intersection with Vine Vale Rd, where a right turn is made.
Vine Vale Rd is ridden until it becomes Stockwell Rd, eventually reaching Crennis Mines Rd where a right turn is made and soon becomes Washington St as it nears Angaston.
A loop of Angaston's back streets via a combination of Fife St, Sturt St, Dean St, North St then Murray St leads back to Sturt St (once again) and the start of the 6.5 km Angaston to Nuriootpa Bike Path.
The Bike Path eventually reaches The Crescent which is closely followed by a right turn on South Tce, leading to the Barossa Valley Way where a left turn directs the route towards Tanunda.
Murray St is ridden through the town centre before exiting via the picturesque Tanunda approach with a right turn onto Gomersal Rd which starts the return journey to Gawler.
At the end of Gomersal Rd, and after a short section of the Sturt Highway, a right turn onto Roseworthy Rd leads to the Gawler-Kapunda Rd where a left turn directs the route south.
Nearing Gawler, a left turn on the Main North Rd 'loops back' to the Gawler Bypass which is ridden until The Two Wells Rd exit, signifying the last section of the ride and the return into Gawler.
