Loop: Bormio > Livigno > Bernina > Bormio

A long ride of 133km that I would call the "custums ride".

The first custum you will meet will be the passo Foscagno; you are in fact entering the duty free area of Livigno. You will pass by Trepalle (Threeballs, the highest living village in Europe) before entering Livigno and meeting the second costume at La Forcola Pass that will lead you in Switzerland. Turn left to reach the summit of the Bernina pass, take a picture, maybe with the Bernina red train and turn your bike south direction. If you like the descent this will be very long. Have fun!

Do not forget to use your brakes at the last custume you will meet on the Swiss Italian border wich will lead you in the italian town of Tirano. Litterarily a passage from the snow to the Palm this time! Another climb till Bormio is waiting you. Once in Tirano follow the sign for Bormio. Not far you will find the signs for Lovero (and then Tovo, Mazzo, Grosio...), that will conduct you on the old SS38. Do not take the new one or you will enter long & dangerous tunnels!
