Mühlhausen (Bhf) - Erfurt(Domplatz)

On the Unstrutradweg and Gera-Radweg cycle routes from Mühlhausen to Erfurt. In Ringleben, the Unstrutradweg is left.

Special places include the graves of the Battle of Langensalza near Bad Langensalza and the church of Herbsleben.

Between Mühlhausen and Bad Langensalza, the paths are well developed. Between Bad Langensalza and Ringleben, the path quality is sometimes poor but generally passable with a touring bike. This section still has some climbs.

The Ringleben to Erfurt section is well developed, but when following the dike of the Gera, the path is relatively narrow. Caution with oncoming traffic.

In Erfurt, the signage is not always clear (the Gera Radweg and Lutherradweg run side by side and are not clearly distinguishable in the signage).
