About this route
Nice and steep climb from Freiburg up to the foot of the Feldberg.
From Freiburg over Zarten-Kirchzarten and Oberried without significant difficulties, then ride through the Zastlertal valley down to the valley floor. At the junction to Stollenbach (right) keep left! The (car-free!) steep ascent (up to 15%) begins, which is no longer paved on the last few hundred meters but can be easily ridden with a road bike. From Rinken, it goes back on a paved agricultural road to the Baldenweg hut, where the incline meter sometimes shows over 20%!
Return to Freiburg via Hinterzarten and Thurner, St. Märgen, St. Peter.
