About this route
Unlike other fortresses Dashtadem or Qagheni medieval fortress is not protected by its natural surroundings. However its massive walls made it not only a significant administrative center but also a large defensive structure. The architects' names and dates it was constructed are not precisely known, however it is believed to have been built in the 5-7th centuries.Â
