eniskerry loop

A nice loop starting at Enniskerry  bog meadow car park{free} up back roads through undulating countryside to a nice coffee shop in Laragh. 

Then the route goes up through the Glenmacness valley with the dramatic ridge of Scarr to the right. Passing Glenmacnass waterfall the route goes up over empty bogland to the sally gap following the military road.

We then pass through the Glencree valley maybe stopping at the German war cemetery. From here it is a beautiful downhill all the way back for a much-deserved pint in the Enniskerry inn.

The route can be shortened to  while still taking in the sally gap by turning right at Sraghmore at the point.
