Sitges - Garraf - Sitges. Road cycling Catalonia
CPB (Costa / Paisatges Barcelona): Route 9
This medium length route is devised for riders looking to experience the infamous gradients of the Ratpenat (“Bat”) climb, in the Garraf Massif. It has featured in many professional races, and boasts some brutal gradients. Starting in beautiful Sitges, on the seaside, the route offers a slightly rolling 15km warm up along the coast north of Sitges before turning inland on the outskirts of Castelldefels to begin the Ratpenat climb. After cresting the climb, fortunately, the majority of the remainder of the ride is downhill, save the 1.5km climb to the Astronomical Observatory of Garraf.
