Drumul bicicletei Septmbrie

The bike route exits the city and heads towards Mogosoaia, then along D.N. 1A towards Floresti and back to Bucharest.

We start at the Politehnica metro station, ride down Iuliu Maniu, exit at Gara de Nord, and take Grivita. We continue along Bucurestii-Noi to Bazilescu Church where we make a first stop and pick up more people if needed. From here, depending on delays along the route, we should depart by 08:00 at the latest.

We proceed, exit onto D.N. 1A and head towards the town of Mogosoaia where we make another stop and visit the palace of the same name. Then we head to Buftea, where we will visit the Stirbei Domain and, if possible, the Buftea film studios. Here we take a longer break [~20 km]. We will eat something to prepare for serious pedaling. Anyone who thinks it’s too much can turn back here. The next stop is planned for about ~20 km ahead.

We continue on D.N. 1A, cross the Butimanu lake and arrive in Bujoreanca where we look for a spot to take a ~15 to 20-minute break [~40 km].

We continue on D.N. 1A until Cocorastii de Colt, where we stop ~10 to 15 minutes [~55 km] to get our bearings, then turn left onto D.J. 101A. We cross D.N. 72 and continue on D.J. 101P until Filipestii de Targ where we make another stop of ~15 minutes [~73 km]. We go on D.J. 101 to Calinesti, then take D.J. 720 to Floresti where we make a long break [~80 km]. In theory, we should arrive here between 12:30 and 13:30. Here we rest, visit the Cantacuzino Palace, the small Trianon, eat, and recharge for the return journey. It would be good to leave around 13:30 - 14:00 towards Bucharest.

We leave Floresti on D.J. 144, cross D.N. 72 again, then continue on D.J. 140 to Strejnicu where we make a ~15-minute break [~100 km]. We proceed to Puchenii Mari where we make another ~15-minute stop [~120 km]. From here the route continues on D.N. 1 (E60) and we will try to ride steadily and without stops until near Corbeana (Prisma Town) where, if I remember correctly, there is a McDonald's for those who can't wait until home. We make another stop here [~145 km].

We continue to Otopeni [~150 km], cross the ring road [~154 km], reach Banesa and then make a final big stop at Casa Presei Libere [~160 km], from where we split up depending on where each person lives and head home.
