Lomnička-Kostelní-Vysoký Kámen

From Lomnička via Spálená to Luby, the terrain is generally not demanding; the section from Luby to Valtéřov is quite challenging (steeply ascending terrain), and the road is asphalted. From Valtéřov to Kostelní there is a gradual climb, with the surface quality slightly deteriorating. From Kostelní to Vysoký kámen there is another steep climb, this time on gravel and forest paths. The destination is the reward though... On the way back, you can take the same route with almost no pedalling, or continue along the red trail to Horní Luby through the forest and then to Luby (here you can visit the lookout tower 'U Strejců' at 611 m, a golf course and castle ruins). I have only tried return variant no. 2 on foot, not by bike (and it cannot be marked on bikemap.net; I definitely recommend the KČT hiking map no. 1 Ašsko and Chebsko). From Luby you can comfortably get back either via Dolní Luby and Spálená, or via Flusárna, Vackov and Smrčina (the direct Vackov-Lomnička route is shorter but horrible, avoid it). For travellers 'from afar' it is naturally unnecessary to go back to Lomnička; from Smrčina they will continue straight to Plesná, from where they can head towards Cheb (on their own or by train, stops: Vojtanov-Seníky-Františkovy Lázně-Aquaforum-Cheb).
