Border Ridge Tour

The starting point is the parking lot at the Blaunthaler Waterfall. From there, we go up the Bockau Valley through the woods to Wildenthal. From there, it’s a national road to Oberwildenthal (2-3km) or alternatively over Auersberg.

From Oberwildenthal, forest paths again to the border crossing into the Czech Republic (old Karlsbad road). In the Czech Republic, go to Jeleni/Hirschenstand, sharply right to Sauersack. Do not miss the turnoff for the old Frühbusser road and return to the border. It is not quite certain whether the border crossing is possible despite the Schengen Agreement. Otherwise, return or continue to Bublava.

Another round around the Weitersglashütte dam and back via Eibenstock.

A scenic, varied Border Ridge Tour with a challenging profile. Mostly little-used roads or forest paths.
