Route 48 and 50 ( Lasinja – beach – Desno Sredičko – Lasinja ), total length 14 km

Routes 48 and 50, with a total length of 14 kilometers, begin in Lasinja, at the central town square. As Lasinja is located on the right bank of the Kupa river, the surrounding places also received quite logical names such as Desni Štefanki and Desno Sredičko. Perfect for orientation, interesting to visit.

The routes are not demanding and provide plenty of experiences as they pass along beautiful meadows and picturesque landscapes, leading you to the peaceful banks of the Kupa river where there are several swimming beaches. The Kupa is a very fickle river with many faces, sometimes calm, sometimes fast, sometimes deep, and sometimes very shallow. However, downstream from Jamnica, the Kupa is very calm and gentle, replacing its depths with shallow, fast parts, becoming one of the warmest rivers in Croatia during the summer months. Swimming in the clear waters of the Kupa and enjoying this beautiful nature and environment is a true delight for anglers and all nature lovers. The Kupa is exceptionally rich in fish in this part and every year, capital specimens of carp, catfish, and pike are caught in this area, thus developing fishing tourism.

Once you reach the banks of the Kupa river, park your bike and rediscover this area from another perspective and enjoy a day full of pure natural beauty. Don't miss the opportunity to take excellent photographs by this river gem. One interesting fact is that for several years now, a River Cinema has been held at the bathing area of Pod pećinom in Lasinja, where many visitors gather in a pleasant atmosphere by the Kupa and under a starry sky to enjoy films.

“You are small, narrow, worn out, but you carry me anyway, canoe on Kupa!...” is the beginning of the song 'Čamac na Kupi' from the great Croatian writer Vladimir Nazor. You too can row in a traditional wooden boat on the Kupa and embark on a true adventure of exploring the Kupa in the Lasinja region.

After you start the route 48, ride down Svetog Florijana street which, like Lasinja, remembers the troubled times and sufferings during the war of independence, but it also remembers the peaceful eras of prosperity of this quiet agricultural area. In the war destruction in the municipality, more than 50% of family houses were completely destroyed, while 30% suffered damage of category V.

From Svetog Florijana street, turn right to connect to routes 49 and 51 and enjoy a leisurely ride while continuing to follow the signs for cycling routes in the Karlovac County.

On route 50, head from the Square of Croatian defenders towards Desno Sredičko. Ride down the Lasinja road where the traffic intensity is lesser towards this small populated place where there is also a weekend settlement. After exiting the village of Lasinja, you will find a gentle descent and a beautiful view of the airy and attractive forest crossed by local forest paths that will make your ride comfortable on this route. The surface on these routes is asphalt for 13.5 km, while gravel runs for 2.5 km.

Upon returning to Lasinja, you can slowly say goodbye to this peaceful and idyllic region along the Kupa until the next travel opportunity.
