Cycling Route Cycle touring. Tour Sierra de Guara. Stage 1

The first stage of the tour departs from the small town of Colungo, located in fertile Somontano at the foothills of wild Sierra de Guara.

In Colungo we must visit Rio Vero Cultural Park and its splendid prehistoric paintings. The route passes by Southern Sierra y Cañones de Guara Natural Park, heading to the exceptional medieval village of Alquézar, officially appointed one of the Most Beautiful Villages of Spain.

From Alquézar, we go to the villages of Radiquero, Adahuesca and Alberuela de la Liena, heading west by a series of local roads with little traffic going through olive fields and vineyards. From Bierge, a narrow local road leads to Panzano, located at the foothills of stunning Tozal de Guara, an ideal place to rest before facing the second stage of the tour.
