MTB-Tour Kamele- Krater- einsame schwarze Strände

From Yaiza on the LZ 67, a longer climb (mostly against the wind) along the edge of the Parque Nacional de Timanfaya passing the dromedaries towards Macha Blanca. After the descent, turn left onto the (closed) gravel road (km 8.5) through a fascinating lava landscape at the foot of Caldera Blanca. Climbing the volcano is worth it for the magnificent view. Turn left to the secluded Playa de la Madera with the finest black sand. Return and descend to Playa Tenesar with the village of the same name (where time seems to have stood still). Return through agricultural areas past Macha Blanca through the lava field of Caldera Colorada and enter the crater of Montana de las Lapas or del Cuerso (km 44). The colors of the molten lava rock are impressive. Cross lava and vineyards on the LZ 30 towards La Geria-Uga and back to Yaiza. The tour requires good physical condition and, in the section between km 8-13, a moderate to good riding technique, as the surface consists only of lava gravel.
