Brockville West 8 - Tour de (butter)Tarts (86km)

86 km Distance
130 m Ascent
130 m Descent

(0 ratings)

A loop starting and ending in downtown Brockville at the parking lot on Water St, close to full services.

The route is a loop, starting out like the routes upon which this one builds, by heading out through Lyn on the Meander to Mitchellville.

When Cty Rd 4 comes to a T-stop at Blue Mountain Rd, continue on Cty Rd 4 by turning right and proceed west through the once-hamlets of Greenfield and Washburn.

Cty Rd 4 T-stops at Cty Rd 3, the crossroads being known as Washburn.  Turn left to go south on Cty Rd 3 towards Lansdowne.  There are services in Landsdowne, yet the real treat is a bit futher on at the corner of Cty Rd 3 and Cty Rd 2 where you'll find the Rapid Valley Family Restaurant and Gas Bar.

This is an excellent place to stop for food, especially home baking, and most especially, for coffee and buttertarts.

Suitably refueled, head east along Cty Rd 2 all the way back to Brockville (with services in Mallorytown along the way).

This loop is one of several that build successively to explore country roads west of Brockville.
