This notable event is in its 73rd year and takes place from 12 to 18 July 2016.

Stages of the Tour de Pologne 2016 

Stage 1: Radzymin - Warsaw

{Tuesday, 12 July}

The 73rd Tour de Pologne, the „History Trail”, will begin in Radzymin, the site of a famous battle fought during the Polish-Bolshevik war of 1920. On the first day of this race, riders will cover 135 kilometres.

Stage 2: Tarnowskie Góry - Katowice

{Wednesday 13 July}

The second day of the competition is a classic flat stage, over which sprinters should play the main role. The riders will start from Tarnowskie Góry and will ride south, discovering the scenic features of Upper Silesia.

Stage 3: Zawiercie - Nowy Sacz

{Thursday, 14 July}

The third day of the race will be a real marathon – the stage from Zawiercie to Nowy Sącz is 240 km long. A year ago, this stage ended with a surprise – the breakaway Maciej Bodnar reached the finish line and won the race.

Stage 4: Nowy Sacz - Rzeszów/Podkarpackie

{Friday, 15 July}

Nowy Sącz is the only town to host the peloton of the 73rd Tour de Pologne for two days. This hilly stretch runs through scenic areas of the Małopolska and Podkarpacie region. Upon arrival in Rzeszów, the riders will make three 6 km laps and will finish on Cieplińskiego Street.

Stage 5: Wieliczka - Zakopane

{Saturday, 16 July}

After two flat and two hilly stages, the 73rd Tour de Pologne enters mountainous terrain. The riders will start 5th stage in Wieliczka, a town for many years associated with Polish national race. Winners of individual stages receive souvenir sculptures made of salt from the Wieliczka salt mine.

Stage 6: Bukovina Resort - Bukowina Tatrzańska

The 6th, royal stage of the 73rd Tour de Pologne is without a doubt the most difficult passage in the whole race. The traditional lap, ridden 5 times, has been slightly altered this year. As a result, riders will fight it out over fifteen mountain tops!

Stage 7: Kraków - Kraków

{Monday, 18 July}

The individual time trial is the icing on the cake of the 73rd Tour de Pologne. On that day, the eyes of all cycling fans will be turned to the Main Market Square in Kraków. It’s there, next to the famous Sukiennice Cloth Hall and St. Marys Church, that the start and finish of the last stage of the race will be located.
