This route takes you on a stunning journey from Gries am Brenner, nestled right on the Austrian-Italian border, all the way down to Bolzano, the vibrant capital of South Tyrol. Kicking off in Gries—a little Alpine village famous for its strategic location along the ancient Brenner Pass—you’ll soon find yourself cycling through classic Tyrolean mountain landscapes.

Over about 105 km, you’ll tackle almost 1,900 meters of ascent—so get ready for some leg-burning climbs, rewarded by nearly 2,800 meters of descent as you cruise into the lush valleys below. Most of the ride is on smooth, paved surfaces, and generous stretches are along dedicated cycleways that keep things peaceful. Expect some jaw-dropping scenery: green meadows, dramatic peaks, and pretty villages.
