Hannoversch Münden is famous for its picturesque old town and half-timbered houses, nestled at the confluence of the Fulda, Werra, and Weser rivers—making it a classic starting point for any tour along the Weser River. From here, you’ll follow mostly paved and smooth cycleways, with a few patches of paving stones, alongside gentle river scenery and lush woodlands. About a third of the route winds along quiet tracks and well-maintained paths, ensuring you’re mostly away from busy traffic.

As you approach Bad Karlshafen, keep an eye out for the Baroque architecture and the historic spa buildings—the town was founded by Huguenot refugees in the 18th century and has a distinct, elegant flair.
