This relaxed 13.7 km cycling route takes you from Bornheim, a friendly small town just west of Cologne, all the way to the lively city center of Bonn. Bornheim is known for its picturesque strawberry fields and rural charm—a perfect spot to begin your ride!

The journey is mostly flat, with only a gentle 40-meter ascent, making it a good option for all levels. You’ll be riding mainly on smooth asphalt paths (over 90% paved), so there’s little worry about bumpy sections. About two-thirds of the way takes you along quiet paths, and you’ll only briefly encounter quiet roads and the occasional cobbled stretch.

Roll through peaceful countryside before arriving in Bonn—a city famous for Beethoven’s birthplace and its vibrant café scene. Take some time at the end to wander around the old town or relax by the Rhine. It’s a pleasant, mostly car-free route perfect for a leisurely day out!
