This scenic ride takes you from the tranquil alpine town of Mals in Upper Vinschgau, all the way down to the palm-lined streets of Merano. Starting at over 1,000 meters above sea level, you'll mostly be gliding downhill, with about 1,060 meters of descent—so get ready to enjoy those long, rolling stretches!

The route is a dreamy mix for cyclists: about 91% is paved, and half the route follows dedicated cycleways, so it’s perfect for relaxing and soaking up the scenery. You’ll pass through historic villages, apple orchards, and vineyards, with the snow-capped Alps as your backdrop. There’s a little bit of gravel here and there (but just enough to keep things interesting), and most traffic is minimal thanks to quiet roads and paths along the Adige River.
