Set off from the beautiful coastal town of Poreč, known for its stunning Romanesque architecture and UNESCO-listed Euphrasian Basilica, and get ready for a cycling adventure into the heart of Istria! The ride to Buje covers nearly 46 km and is a great mix of paved roads (about 57%) and a bit of gravel and ground, perfect for a sturdy hybrid or gravel bike.

You’ll roll through quiet country roads and vineyard landscapes, climbing gentle hills (with a total ascent of over 600 meters) and soaking in classic Istrian scenery. There are some stretches on cycleways and less-trafficked roads, making for a relaxed ride with just a few busier sections.

As you approach Buje, perched on a hill with sweeping views over olive groves and the Adriatic in the distance, treat yourself to a gelato and wander the charming old town.
