South Korea east coast tour 2018

Leaving Busan the hard way. The first climb is massive and unpaved on a short stretch, yet goes through a nice little village on top of one of Busan's mountains. End of the road from coast to inland is wrong, there's a bike road all along the river.

Very nice roads, and beautiful landscapes. A tough first 50 kms, due to recurring slopes. The last 20 kms are very nice, leading to the city through rice fields.

A very nice and quiet road to ride on through small villages and countryside for the first 48 kilometres. At Pilhwa-Ri, the crossroads between road 930 and road 7, we took north to follow road 7 contrary to what is shown on the map. Bad choice, a lot of traffic. Once back on the coast, a bike line is to be found again. The views are breathtaking, the quiet fishing villages' homes are artfully painted.

Amazing road following the east coast cycling route. A few short but steep slopes. Probably the best day of the whole trip!

Great route, but demanding. It follows a major axis, but there is not much traffic. NB: at Tanggongni, most cycling apps will tell you to follow the road north through Omongni. DON'T. It's impossible to climb, gets unpaved and the climb down can be dangerous.

An amazing 50km descent, after a steady but steep climb at the beginning. Again, the road followed is the major axis. Some tunnels, be sure to have lights, there is more traffic on this road than the previous stage.
