Tour of Coromandel Peninsula

Day 1 of Coromandel tour. All sealed road apart from short climb to lookout on Black Jack Rd

This is a delightful ride from Corromandel out to the end of the peninsula (almost). A delightful campsite.

A wild little route that probably should not be undertaken on touring bikes with gear - but on the other hand its a great adventure and allows you to get right around the north end of the peninsula without back tracking. The first half of the coastal walkway was extremely tough rough and steep with lots of pushing but after the lookout approx mid-way it was qutie easy single track riding.

Another hilly little ride, glad we made it short. The big climb on Kennedy Bay Rd was very steep and we had to walk the touring bikes with camping gear a short distance on the steepest section.
