Cruise from Goyang-si down to Gwangmyeong on a mostly flat, riverside-friendly ride. Expect about 33 km with gentle rollers (around 219 m of climbing) and lots of smooth cruising on separated cycleways (about 60%) plus quiet roads. Surfaces are largely paved (asphalt and concrete), so it’s easy-going.

Roll out from Goyang’s wide boulevards toward the Han River paths, then swing onto the Anyangcheon stream trail heading south. It’s scenic, straightforward, and great for keeping a steady pace. Keep an eye out for joggers on shared sections and a couple of short track segments; a small light helps for underpasses.

Fun bits: Goyang-si is home to Ilsan Lake Park and KINTEX, Korea’s biggest convention center. At the finish, Gwangmyeong is famous for Gwangmyeong Cave, a former mine turned arts-and-wine complex, and big-box shopping around the station area.

Tip: Riversides can get windy—pack a layer and some snacks for the long path sections.
