This cycling route takes you from the heart of Tokyo all the way out to Urayasu, a city known for being home to Tokyo Disney Resort. Setting off from Tokyo’s bustling center, you’ll quickly trade skyscrapers and crowds for quieter city roads—over half this journey rolls along peaceful backstreets, making the ride surprisingly chill for an urban adventure.

Nearly 36% is on actual cycleways, so you’ll have plenty of time to just pedal and soak up the changing scenery. You’ll skirt the edge of the Sumida River, get a glimpse of Tokyo Bay, and can detour for a snack in the parks along the route.

With about 258 meters of climbing and slightly more descending, it’s not a flat cruise but nothing too dramatic either. Most of the route is on paved sidewalks and roads, so you won’t need a mountain bike, just comfortable tires for urban cycling.

As you get closer to Urayasu, the city’s modern residential vibe and proximity to the theme parks come into view. It’s a fun way to see Tokyo’s “backstage” neighborhoods and end up right by some of Japan’s most famous attractions!
