This scenic cycling route starts in the charming riverside town of Vác and ends across the Danube in Nagymaros, offering around 22 km of mostly paved, easy-riding terrain. Vác, known for its historic town square and vibrant baroque cathedral, makes a great starting point. The route cruises along the riverbank on dedicated cycleways and quiet roads, giving you plenty of chances to enjoy the natural beauty of the Danube Bend.

There’s a gentle ascent and descent along the way, but nothing too taxing—just enough to keep things interesting. Most of your ride will be on smooth asphalt or concrete, so it’s comfortable for road bikes and hybrids.

Nagymaros, your destination, is a peaceful town famous for its scenic views back toward Visegrád Castle perched above the opposite bank.
